Kids Feet
The growing foot is a precious structure. In the early years it is made up of a lot of cartilage as the bones are not fully developed until the very late teens.
Kids Feet
The child's foot is easily damaged by ill fitting shoes or sports injury; in addition, 'growing pains' are very real.
The child may not grow in a fully symmetrical way due to muscle imbalances or may be complaining or fidgeting when waiting around, having to stand for a while. This is especially typical of someone with a degree of hyper-mobility.
We will explain what’s happening and how it can be helped. If necessary we can prescribe foot orthoses, (supportive shells) which cup and support the feet. We will be able to advise on an exercise programme to help recovery as needed.
We measure feet and can give advice on how shoes should fit and footwear choices.
